City of Olympia Ranked 9th in the Heritage Resource Center Grant Program!
The Community, Trade, and Economic Development (CTED) Heritage Resource Center Capital Projects Fund, has just completed its 2009-2011 application review process and has ranked eligible applicants from around the state. The top 39 recommended projects total $10,000,000.
The City of Olympia requested funds to rehabilitate a portion of its historic Percival Landing, and improve interpretation at the site. The project was ranked number nine, which indicates a high likelihood that the Percival Landing project request will be fully funded. The Governor and the Legislature will make the final decision on which projects to fund as well as the dollar amount designated for each.
The Heritage Resource Center awards grants to 501(c)3 nonprofit performing arts organizations, art museums, and cultural organizations to defray up to twenty percent of eligible capital costs for the acquisition, construction, and/or major renovation of capital facilities.
Congratulations to our client, the City of Olympia, Parks, Arts, and Recreation Department! We are excited to be involved with this multi-million dollar rehabilitation effort.
